Preparation and storage

Our products are delivered deep-frozen.
Please note the following information on preparation and storage:


BREADS

Thaw frozen bread in packaging at room temperature. For more crispness, heat bread wrapped or unwrapped in a pre-heated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat (160°C circulating heat) for 13 minutes or toast in slices without packaging.


ROLLS

Thaw frozen rolls in packaging at room temperature. For more crispness, heat rolls wrapped or unwrapped in a pre-heated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat (160°C circulating heat) for about 10 minutes or toast without packaging.


MINI BAGUETTE

Heat frozen wrapped Mini Baguette for 15 – 17 minutes or unwrapped for 10 – 12 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat (160°C circulating heat).


BLACK-AND-WHITE CAKE

Thaw frozen cake without packaging in a microwave oven at 200 W for 3 minutes or in the packaging for 2 hours at room temperature.

Our gluten-free baked goods are frozen and individually wrapped in oven film that can be baked, including a window. For safe protection right up to the consumer.

What does "HANDMADE BY BÖCKER" mean?


Our baked goods are handcrafted with great care. Since we work with natural raw materials, which are subject to fluctuations in color and consistency, our baked goods do not always look the same. The craftsmanship also makes each baked product look individual. These are all signs of quality – handmade by BÖCKER!


Why is oats highlighted in the product description?

Because it is basically an allergen and must therefore be marked in bold, as required by law, so that it can be seen immediately. This is also mandatory when using gluten-free oats as a raw material. Oats from conventional cultivation are generally contaminated with e.g. wheat or rye. In general, it has been shown that oats that are labeled as gluten-free, which means declared by the producer as not contaminated, are tolerated by the majority of people with intolerance. But even here there are exceptions.

Why are our gluten-free baked goods made with sourdough?


Gluten-free sourdough improves the aroma, the dough properties and the quality of gluten-free baked goods and is even used by us in sweet baked goods. It has a positive effect on the development of flavor components in gluten-free raw materials. A typical bread aroma is only achieved when using sourdough. In addition, the use of sourdough can significantly improve the shelf life of gluten-free baked goods. The use of gluten-free sourdough is a trademark of BÖCKER B: PURE gluten-free baked goods.
